About Stephanie Renshaw
Stephanie Renshaw has been producing high quality murals to commission for several years.
She also creates Fine Art Pieces, Portraiture, Ceramics and Scenic Painting for the theatre.
Steph grew up in Huddersfield and studied for a Pre BA Diploma in Art and Design at Dewsbury College of Art and Design (1999)- an excellent course with inspiring tutors.
She went on to learn more about the source of her inspiration, the natural world, and studied for a Bsc in Environmental Biology at the University of Wales Aberystwyth then remained in Wales finding inspiration in the beauty and tranquillity of the countryside.
Steph specialises in creating murals which describe environmental or educational themes. This work has found home in schools and educational visitor centres but also suits more commercial venues such as shops, restaurants, hostels etc.
She has created murals and carried out art workshops for several environmental organisations: RSPB, Small Woods Association, The Forestry Commission and Creu-ad (www.creu-ad.co.uk).
Scenic painting has led her to work along side Duncan Gough of Hoopoe Design (www.hoopoedesign.co.uk) producing sets for Aberystwyth Arts Centre's community theatre groups.
